Wonderful

Second time by Palm Royal, which developed even since 2021. Really nice staff, especially Marua with kindness and Hakim with help. WIFI is much better compared to our last stay. Food excellent, clean rooms, there were some renovation in process, but well organised, no brother. I can only recommend it to anyone!

Wonderful

Tranquillity. The royal palms. The service(Hakim and also the others at the desk were always gentle). The food was good (a bit ripetitive). The sun bed and all the area. The wellness and the gym. The best place in this area .. I walk a bit south of this hotel and I can say that the beach/sunbed area is really the best, very relaxing and a lot of space between the umbrellas. I also really appreciate the airport shuttle service.

The open area but only around the pool... is cement and nothing else BUT the green and the garden that are between the pool area and the beach area I really really really appreciated. The bar close to the sun bed is quite poor. The wellness floor is very slippering and the relaxing zone is not very relaxing ... it sholud be separate from the sauna and the Turkish bath... and with more beds

We enjoyed a nice stay, no regrets about coming, just probably not returning.

No feeling of being crowded. Nicely located right by a perfect sandy beach. Good was a good mix and decent quality.

Cleanliness of rooms (cockroaches in bathroom, pigeons in ventilation system) and not enough facilities for kids to play.

Beach is nice. lots of activities. breakfast is quite large you have everything you need. the dinner at a la carte restaurant is better than buffet one

if we were only able to eat at buffet restaurant would be abit sad. Ther rooms a bit old school. Confortable enough There should be a resort map that can be given out. It's a large place

All hotel staff are very friendly and warm. The hotel grounds are lovely and nice maintained. Lots of Egyptian art everywhere which was nice. The hotel gym was well equipped and there’s lots of pools to choose from. Lots of entertainment available and there is a club within the hotel which is quite entertaining. The pianist in the Koi fish bar plays beautifully and it was a nice vibe to chill there. The hotel made a really nice effort to decorate for Christmas and the decorations looked lovely and felt Christmassy.

1. 5mins after we checked into our room, we found a cockroach running around. It’s so disgusting! We called reception to send someone to kill it but no one arrived until 20mins later. The hotel were unable to give us another room that night but arranged one the next day. 2. The AC in the room has mold and needs cleaning. Every morning we woke up and felt so congested and sick and then would feel better until we came back to our room and start feeling sick again. Eventually we caught flu and fever from the bad air coming from the AC. They need to service and clean the air conditioning more often. 3. The room service via room phone is very slow. We called to ask for ice and it took 2hrs for them to bring it. By that time we didn’t want it anymore. The 2nd night we asked for ice again and it never arrived. I also asked for a spare toothbrush and it took 45mins to arrive. 4. Too many flies on the beach. It’s hard to relax when there are flies constantly landing on you. The hotel needs to arrange a fumigation. They are also attracted to the sweet cocktails so maybe they should have a Waiter Service to bring drinks and remove old drinks for the guests laying on the beach.

Great value for money, but not a 5-star experience.

Great gardens and pools, nice beach, very clean, big rooms, nice lobby, next to kitesurfing spots

Many flies on the beach (regional issue), hard mattresses, noisy during cleaning hours, bad service in a la carte restaurants, poor breakfast, nasty mosquitos

Very lovely staying! The hotel is really gorgeous! I had great time and I enjoyed every moment! Great staff! Amazing excursion with Ali Hi Hi, great man for great excursions! Excellent for solo travellers and surf beginners

Hotel has pefect location with the closest way to the sea shore and surfing points. Incredible oriental night menu on Friday Night and incredible delicious food in the Asian restaurant. I would like to point out the convinient business center with 3 computer set ups open 24/7 with stable connection - that is incredible if you need an access to your corporate e-mail and accounts. Wi-fi is good but you can not reach at the beach but you don't need to:) Hotel has the surf and diving school on its own territory and surf motion station close by. I really the photosession by Ahmed, he has really good quality of the cam and good prices! I totally recommend this hotel and definitely will come back asap.

Some of the public bathrooms sometimes were out of soap or paper. In the quiet zone there is no direct access to the sea because of the concrete embankment. But in the central part of the beach it's back to normal sand shore.

Excellent Resort

Sentido hotel This hotel is by far the best hotel in Soma bay, i passed 4 nights with my wife and two boys 11 and 16 years and i have to applause the management for making our vacation such memorable. We had 2 double rooms with a lovely view over the pool, Rooms are largely spacious with a nice balcony, well furnished, well equipped and spotlessly clean. The beach is about 1 km in length, very nicely organized, comfortable sun beds, crystal clear water, boats marina, beverage bar, very creative animation team and a water sports center full of all imaginable sea fun except jet skis that are banned anyway in this area by law. No burkinis or Islamic swimsuits allowed on the beach or by the pool, which was for us a big plus to the place and music to our ears. The main pool is quite big and very well maintained with clean sun beds all around it. We had an all-inclusive soft package ( Alcohol consumption was paid separately ) and I must say that the food was beyond expectations, the restaurant is themed every night with a food theme from a different country, so we couldn't feel any repetitive food at all. Quantities are more than much and will definitely fill you up even if you have a XXXL stomach. The service is professional and the staff is really polite and friendly. We will definitely be back to this hotel on our next vacation. This is a hotel that I would recommend to anyone heading to Soma bay.

Annoying details...

Good breakfast, the team Aqua center (and swimming with dolphins) and majority of the staff. They were friendly and helpful.

During three years (we visited the hotel three years ago) the hotel has been changed a lot. Such simple: the doors could not be closed and open easily, needed to ask, remind the housekeeper to fix it. We paid for "all inclusive" but no milk for morning coffee. When asked for it az extra 3-4 EUR fee was charged. Around 10-11 a.m. relaxing on the beach but suddenly a few mowing-machines appeared and no more relax, but noise. (But in spite of the daily works a lot of m2 seemed burnt-out, no more grass.) We paid for a high speed internet (50 EUR for a week for a 1 Mbit/s as "high speed") but simple it did work only in lobby, in rooms the internet was not stable. (But I should add after having contacted the IT-staff a device was set up in our room, and the net became more stable.) A few from the staff who seemed uninterested. Small but very annoying details. I'm sorry to say but won't be back any more.
