We would like to inform you about upcoming renovation works at Palm Royale Resort to enhance our facilities and elevate the guest experience :

Cleopatra Building Renovation:
The renovation of rooms will be extended until 28TH of February 2025 and the façade will be painted.
Main Building (Section C):
Rooms in the right wing will undergo renovation from 27TH of January 2025 to 15TH of March 2025.
Walkways Renovation:
Renovation of all walkways inside the resort will take place between 27TH of January 2025 and 15TH of March 2025.
The work will involve digging and hammering, and certain areas of the landscape will be closed off to guests.
The main swimming pool will be unavailable during this period as the walkways around it are being renovated. However, the Spa pool renovation has been postponed to ensure guests can use the heated Spa swimming pool instead.
Restaurant Renovations:
Italian Restaurant: Closed during February 2025 for bar renovation. Guests can enjoy the other à la carte options, including Greek, Lebanese and Asian cuisines.
La Terrace Restaurant: Closed during February 2025 for renovation. Breakfast will be served at the main restaurant.
Bar Renovations:
Johny’s Bar and Atrium Bar will undergo renovations during February 2025, but not simultaneously.
When one bar is closed, the other will remain open for guest use.

In a restaurant there is for only adults area. Fatina - great do massage! Recommended There is a lot of choice of food but not beverages.

Overpriced, updated Spa treatment can be improved (can be choice of oils and more warm in room) There were works in hotel and they check in my room opposite that area where was most noisy- hotel was 20% full. Bad coffee and orange juice taste like multivitamins juice

Wonderful

Second time by Palm Royal, which developed even since 2021. Really nice staff, especially Marua with kindness and Hakim with help. WIFI is much better compared to our last stay. Food excellent, clean rooms, there were some renovation in process, but well organised, no brother. I can only recommend it to anyone!

Tranquillity. The royal palms. The service(Hakim and also the others at the desk were always gentle). The food was good (a bit ripetitive). The sun bed and all the area. The wellness and the gym. The best place in this area .. I walk a bit south of this hotel and I can say that the beach/sunbed area is really the best, very relaxing and a lot of space between the umbrellas. I also really appreciate the airport shuttle service.

The open area but only around the pool... is cement and nothing else BUT the green and the garden that are between the pool area and the beach area I really really really appreciated. The bar close to the sun bed is quite poor. The wellness floor is very slippering and the relaxing zone is not very relaxing ... it sholud be separate from the sauna and the Turkish bath... and with more beds

All hotel staff are very friendly and warm. The hotel grounds are lovely and nice maintained. Lots of Egyptian art everywhere which was nice. The hotel gym was well equipped and there’s lots of pools to choose from. Lots of entertainment available and there is a club within the hotel which is quite entertaining. The pianist in the Koi fish bar plays beautifully and it was a nice vibe to chill there. The hotel made a really nice effort to decorate for Christmas and the decorations looked lovely and felt Christmassy.

1. 5mins after we checked into our room, we found a cockroach running around. It’s so disgusting! We called reception to send someone to kill it but no one arrived until 20mins later. The hotel were unable to give us another room that night but arranged one the next day. 2. The AC in the room has mold and needs cleaning. Every morning we woke up and felt so congested and sick and then would feel better until we came back to our room and start feeling sick again. Eventually we caught flu and fever from the bad air coming from the AC. They need to service and clean the air conditioning more often. 3. The room service via room phone is very slow. We called to ask for ice and it took 2hrs for them to bring it. By that time we didn’t want it anymore. The 2nd night we asked for ice again and it never arrived. I also asked for a spare toothbrush and it took 45mins to arrive. 4. Too many flies on the beach. It’s hard to relax when there are flies constantly landing on you. The hotel needs to arrange a fumigation. They are also attracted to the sweet cocktails so maybe they should have a Waiter Service to bring drinks and remove old drinks for the guests laying on the beach.

Great hotel for chill and kitesurfing.

All stated below is benchmarked against other hotels in Egypt I stayed (~10 incl. Sheraton Soma Bay, Kempinski, Hilton Marsa Alam, Gemma and similar ones). -great spot for kitesurfing. Perfect wind and water conditions. -great greenery; grass, palm trees etc - way above the average -dinners were also above average. Mexican theme dishes were better than in Mexico :) Also kudos to pastry chef. One of the best sweets selection I have ever experienced. I just missed there was no baklava. -large swimming pools, long stretch of beaches. -quite „oldy”, but very well equipped gym. Special shoutout to Ahmed Hakim. This Manager was a bomb! Not only he was able to fix some minor problems, but overdelivered greatly. He was not only fast and up to the point, but also pro-active. One of the best customer-facing managers I met, not only in Egypt but globally. I really felt he wanted to make my stay exceptional!

-some room equipments like cupboards were visibly heavy used. -water was only delivered to the room 25% of days. Thats not a problem as bottled water was available during meals, and flavored water in the lobby, but I would expect it comes always with the room cleaning service. -there was no „smoking free” outside breakfast area. Of course inside was „no smoking”, but outside was all filled with smokers.

Everything was great, service, staff, location and food.

The windsurfing facility in the hotel could definitely use some improvement. The equipment is quite outdated and not well maintained, which affects the overall experience. The place is aesthetically pleasing, well-maintained, and makes a great impression right from the start. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was truly delicious – everything was of a good standard. Mr. Mustafa and Mr. Alazab – thank you very much for your service during the meals! You were both very polite, kind, and highly professional. Due to a minor injury, I needed medical assistance. The hotel has a Clinic 24/7 on-site, which I was also very satisfied with. Many thanks to Dr. Kareem for his professional help and great kindness.

We paid for our stay in full at the very beginning. The day before departure, we settled the bill for additional orders, made sure everything was cleared, and received confirmation that there were no outstanding charges. However, on the day of departure, at 6 a.m., we were informed that we needed to pay an additional $300 because the staff member who processed our payment had made a mistake, and the next person failed to notice the error. The original price matched what we had seen on Booking.com, but it turned out the issue was related to taxes. What we found disappointing was that the staff did not acknowledge any responsibility for the mistake—instead, they explained the additional charge with a certain irritation, as if it was self-explanatory. Despite this misunderstanding, our overall impression of the hotel remains positive and we truly enjoyed our stay.

We enjoyed a nice stay, no regrets about coming, just probably not returning.

No feeling of being crowded. Nicely located right by a perfect sandy beach. Good was a good mix and decent quality.

Cleanliness of rooms (cockroaches in bathroom, pigeons in ventilation system) and not enough facilities for kids to play.

Beautiful pieceful resort perfect for gateway or water sports

Nice resort with very beautiful gardens and a lot facilities. Very specious rooms with spectacular views. Mini bar with a lot of choices of cold drinks. Hotel decorated with nice Christmas decorations. Cosy lobby with nice round bar. Staff at the reception very helpful especially Walid I came only for 1 night he made his very best to facilitate check in to my room as soon as possible. The staff at lobby bar also very friendly. I also appreciated the driver who took me to the airport very friendly fantastic driver. Nice location 45 minutes away from HRG airport -shuttle was inclusive in a room price fast internet nice quiet beach and a lot of facilities swimming pools with warm water SPA restaurants a la cart I had really nice stay. Great choice of food a variety of options

Not much to say I was disappointed in service of the staff at the restaurant was not as friendly and helpful compared to staff from reception and lobby bar its big difference in service. Alcohol drinks and wine not really drinkable only beer was ok
